I was reading this blog tonight and Rachel ended it with a Bible verse:
Luke 18:27....... "The things which are impossible with men are possible with God."
This is exactly what I needed to be reminded lately..things are not exactly going smoothly in some areas of life, Smithy and I feel we are doing the right thing, steppin
g up and thinking outside the box, but sadly not everyone is on our page when it comes to mission. We are ready to throw our ALL into a project, have for the last year thrown as much as we can into it, prayed about it, thinking it was the direction we were headed, all to be sadly told 'NO, can't happen'....
But we have a huge support network, people praying for us, people prepared to stand up with us to make a change and I'm so thankful for that.
We will not give up, we have dreams and we will succeed, and when we think they are completely impossible and are ready to give up (like now) we will pray hard, and ask for guidance and doors to be open.

Today is Saturday....
Today is Saturday..my favourite day of the week to be at work..yes it's a shame I can't be home with hubby, spending the gorgeous day, but I get to work and meet some pretty crazy/random/amazing/interesting people!
Saturdays people come out to find a bargain, to get something for a party tonight, wether it be silly or sensible, and sometimes just to wander.
I like Saturdays the most because of the mix of people that come through. I like helping people find that special outfit, and also chatting about why they want it. I do love my job, on Saturdays!
Working in an OpShop I see such a range of stuff....and before you ask, yes it is hard to control myself at times, but I think, someone needs this way more than me, I have a wardrobe full of stuff and I just simply don't need it. Plus hubby would give me that look if I walked through the door with anymore stuff. But everything has a story, has a past and often a future.
Yesterday I had a young girl come through who said she was moving to England and was packing up her whole house and starting afresh over there. This got me thinking..what makes people just decide to pack up and leave everything behind. Growing up I moved around heaps with my parents job and I truly hated it, yes I got to see some much and meet people all over Australia, but the hard thing, packing up life every couple of years, starting new schools, making new friends...I hated it! Now I've brought a house, I'm settled, I don't even want to think about having to move again.
I have friends and family who have left 'home' to go travelling and they love it. For me I don't think so much. If I were to move now, I would want to move atleast where I had a support network already semi established. I love holidays away from home and when away dream about what it would be like to leave it all behind, but then reality hits and I'm back home, safe and secure.
Maybe thats it, maybe I like being safe. I don't really like being put out of my comfort zone. I like having support around me. I don't like being alone. So for now I'd like to stay put right here, in sunny Perth.
Sorry for rambling, just some random thoughts, and if your still reading this, thanks :)
Enjoy your weekend!

Change is about ME!
Recently I was at a concert and on the ground I kept seeing wrist bands with the words "change is about me". I wanted to pick one up to see if there was more to it, but I also didn't want to look weird in doing so, so I didn't. But since then a guy at our Church who also saw them and did pick one up (although his was on his seat) has been wearing his and it has got me thinking...
We all want things in life, we all complain about things in life, but change is about us, about me! If I want something in life, what steps do I need to take to get it? Small steps? Big steps? So since turning 25 (such a ground breaking birthday!!) I have decided change is about me, and if I want something in life, what steps will I take to get it? If I'm not happy with something, what steps will I take to change it?
I believe that God has a plan for each of us, my dreams are nothing compared to what He wants for me life. But I have to be prepared to sacrifice things, change things in life and also sometimes to just step out and believe that He is in control and I am not. To some of you this may seem totally odd, but for me to explain it simply, my life since following Jesus, has become that of purpose, that I don't just go to work everyday to make money, but I go to talk to people, to show love to those around me. I want to see change in this world, I want to show love instead of hate & kindness instead of anger, the list could go on and on. Jesus went out to people that society wiped out, the poor, the sick, the prostitutes, the unloved and He showed them LOVE.
For me to sum up following Jesus and being a Christian in one word it would be LOVE!

and im back...again...this time to stay :)
Yesterday was my birthday....25 years I celebrated!! A little scary I must admit, but also exciting...
So Im setting a goal that this year to come shall be the most creative year I have had, that I will look for ways to be creative in everything I can. That creativity isn't just sewing, art and decorating, but creativity is all around and I want to embrace that!
So I am back, with inspiration after 2 weeks holidays, a time to refresh and renew, ready to tackle any challenge thrown at me, to change the things I struggle with, one step at a time.
Sorry to have negelected you but life was crazy, I am now making time for me, time for others and evaluating life and its priorities.
I am passionate, I have been inspired and we will achieve our dreams!!

Me and Mandy Moo
This is my little sister (1 of 2) and I when we were much younger!! I love this pic, and so many times we have joked and said we should reenact it, but sadly there are many things needed to do so!! One day we shall do it, just for the laughs!! Today I have the flu, well have done for 5 days now and ive really had enough of it. I hate being stuck on the couch wasting the day away! There is so much more I would love to be doing like sewing & creating. But I was just checking out some pics and saw this and was instantly reminded of a letter this lil sis wrote me...she is really one for taking time out to inspire others..she wrote me this email about achieving my dreams and her believing I can do it..It brought me to tears, because so often I doubt myself. This letter I will keep forever, and when I achieve my dreams I shall frame it for all to see, to show that my lil sister believed in me and knew her big sister would achieve my dreams!! She knows Im determined!! When I was younger I wanted my nose peirced and well dad thought he was safe saying if she had it done I could as she hates needles! For ages I bribed her, begged on my knees and just kept pushing it! But no she didn't want it done, well the rest is history because today we both have our noses peirced and Dad couldn't believe it when she said she would! But its something we share, and something that shows my determination! Manda Moo, I love you!! Thankyou!
